We rebuild their confidence by sequencing and scaffolding complex topics, breaking them down into manageable steps that help students understand
Why Ahfia Anwar Curriculum Lead?
Hi, I'm Ahfia Anwar.
I’m a dedicated and experienced science teacher and curriculum leader with over 20 years in education.
I know the common pitfalls, the pace at which lessons move, and the pressures students face trying to keep up.
As both a teacher and a parent, I’ve supported my own children and many others through the school system. I know how hard it is to want the best for your child but feel unsure how to help.
That’s why I tutor—not just to boost grades, but to mentor, inspire, and build lasting confidence. I believe in empowering children to become independent learners who are equipped to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
My goal is not long-term dependency on tutoring, but to give students the skills, mindset, and techniques they need so that when they leave school and pursue further studies, they no longer need a tutor—they have become their own best teacher.
When you work with me, your child benefits from both professional expertise and the personal care of someone who truly understands what’s at stake.
With Ahfia Anwar Curriculum Lead, all the hard work has been done for you. All we need from you, is trust and co-operation.
We break down complex content into clear, manageable chunks using a scaffolding method that builds knowledge gradually.
Your child will understand the material deeply and enjoy learning without feeling overwhelmed.
Our structured roadmap takes students from their current level to top grades with focused weekly targets and expert feedback.
They’ll always know what to study, how to study it, and why it matters, making consistent progress towards exam success.
Beyond science, we equip your child with skills that support them in every subject: how to think critically, answer exam questions under pressure, and study efficiently. These tools will serve them long after GCSEs are over.
"What sets her apart is that she’s not just a tutor—she’s a mentor. She took the time to understand how my son learns and crafted lessons that made science engaging and accessible. Her real-world examples helped him see the bigger picture, and her consistent guidance developed his critical thinking and exam skills. Most importantly, she helped him build resilience when facing tougher topics, which has benefited him far beyond science."
"Before I started tutoring, I struggled to make sense of science. It all felt overwhelming. But she broke it down step by step and related everything to real jobs and industries—suddenly it all made sense. She helped me learn how to think critically, and her exam techniques gave me the confidence to tackle any question. Now I actually enjoy science in particular biology, and I’ve chosen it for A-level! I never thought I would say that."
"I used to avoid science revision because I never knew where to start. But she taught me how to approach complex topics with confidence and discipline. She pushed me just the right amount and always made time to explain things in a way I could understand. I was especially inspired by how she connected lessons to real careers—now I want to pursue something in medicine, and I’ve taken A-level Chemistry to get me there!"
"My daughter used to dread science lessons. But after working with this tutor, everything changed. She made complex topics easy to understand and linked them to real-world applications that sparked my daughter's curiosity. The personalised guidance and encouragement instilled not just knowledge, but resilience and a disciplined work ethic. Today, my daughter is confidently studying A-level Biology—and it’s all thanks to the love for the subject that was nurtured through these sessions."
"This tutoring experience has been transformational for my child. She didn’t just teach the syllabus—she taught my son how to think, analyse, and apply his knowledge in exam situations. Her emphasis on critical thinking and her encouragement to stay diligent even when topics became difficult built character as well as academic success. The real-life links made lessons meaningful, and I genuinely believe she’s the reason he chose to study Physics at A-level."
